HY-40ZJ man portable drilling rig was designed in 2003 and adopted international advantaged technology. Strict testing has been passed in the worst terrain and mountain areas. It can be used in mountain, hill, Plain, Forest, Farmland for petroleum prospecting. All of operation handles and indicators were installed on operation platform. The rig was installed with safety, caution and environmental protection symbols, and it meets with the requirement of HSE. The rig is a kind of high efficiency and applied equipment for petroleum seismic crew. The rig can be disassembly into 10 modules, and each module weight was not exceed 100kg.

The rig includes two sections: The first section is the main-rig section in which the rotarying and pulldown of the rig is realized by an engine driving a hydraulic pump via belt. The second section are air compressors I which two engines respectively drive two air compressors which supply downhole hammer with air as the motive force, and as the well washing medium. The rig totally needs three engines as the power.

The rig has the advantages of light-weight, simple construction, easy to assemble, disassemble, transport and operate.

The drilling rig can be work in dusty environment which ambient temperature is from -10 to +55, 0-3000m height above sea level.

Main configuration modules and features

1. Base frame (1 set, 53kg)

Light metal structure, bolt with stud and nuts, enough to support mast, engine for rig and hydraulic system. It can be adjusted by hand to suit different well site.

2. Mast and bracket (1 set, Weight: 89kg)

The mast is welded by light steel, 1700mm travel distance, low speed high torque hydraulic motor drives chain to finish pull up/pull down movement.

3. Power swivel (1 set, Weight 43kg)

High torque hydraulic motor drives power swivel directly the hollow shaft of swivel to finish drilling rotation, without reduction device. The swivel can work both on Air or Mud systems.

4. Engine (3set, 3*98kg)

Two cylinders 4 stroke gasoline engine, air cooled with flywheel fan. The engine installs with emergency shut off system. 27hp/3600r/min, electric starting.

Battery: sealed maintenance free, 12V.

5. Oil pump, oil tank, reversal valve assy. (1 set, 98kg)

Oil pump: one sets of constant pressure, variable displacement pump, connecting to the engine by means of coupling. The hydraulic flow is controlled by directional control valves with pressure compensator.

Reversal valve: operated by hand.

Hydraulic hose: fitted with quick disconnect and coupling system.

6. Radiator (1 set, 33kg)

12 volt electric machinery drives a fan to cool hydraulic oil.

7. Air compressor (2 set, 83kg)

Light weight compressor unit, screw type. The compressor equipped with oil separators, oil cooler with mechanical driven fan air oil separation cartridge element for extremely low oil content in the discharged air. The compressor can be coupled with engine with 3V belts.
